The Watermark, an Autograph Collection hotel in Baton Rouge conveys a look that reflects the layers of the location’s heritage expressing mildly rebellious room details and guest interaction for the independent sophisticated modern traveler. Set as an historic icon in the heart of downtown, the 1927 skyscraper portrays the city’s iconic personality and feel. Our notion of preservation though our lobby and public spaces references from the 20’s through the 60’s to today’s modern design. Art and Commerce that detail stunning murals by a local artist combine the history with today’s local fusion. The restaurant and social lounges are vibrant hubs for business travelers, unique regional destination seekers and area locals. The Watermark represents the layers of time of its origins to create a new multi-faceted expression and experience.
Welcome Letter from BTR Director
Thank you for your interest in the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR). We average nearly 60 daily jet flights on the four major, network airlines (American, Delta, United, US Airways) to and from four hub airports. With a single connection, travelers can reach virtually any major destination on the globe from BTR. Through their partnerships in the three global alliances, the BTR network carriers offer even more worldwide destinations.
When making travel arrangements, please consider the total trip costs of driving to an alternate airport including more expensive parking, vehicle mileage costs (AAA uses 60.8 cents per mile), and the value of your time. BTR’s convenient access, terminal-front parking, and fast check-in means less time at the airport. BTR’s primary tag line, Fly Easy, says it all.
Our terminal renovation and expansion project is complete. The TSA security check point is now in the new rotunda area, providing more room and the option to open an additional line. The original rotunda area serves as a comfortable arrival court with ample room and seating. Favorable comments from passengers have referenced the openness of the new rotunda with its the floor-to-ceiling glass wall.
Seating in the rotunda includes power outlets at each seat, and there is also a charging room at the beginning of concourse A. New restrooms (including a family restroom), paint, and flooring were included in the renovation. Our renovated food court and sports lounge includes PJ’s Coffee and WOW Café: American Grill and Wingery, providing fresh food options and specialty coffees. Of course Free Wi-Fi is available at hot spots throughout the terminal.
Some of the best suggestions for enhancing our airport come from you, the traveler. Sharing your thoughts, ideas, or questions will help us serve you better. Please email us or complete our Air Talk Survey to let us know what you think. From the parking lots to passenger gates, restaurants to restrooms, we want your feedback. Rate the services and facilities used on your most recent trip.
The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport is an important economic catalyst in the Baton Rouge area, with hundreds of millions of dollars in direct and indirect economic impact. The Airport, however, cannot be successful without your patronage. So thanks for flying BTR!
