TO REDEEM YOUR AWARD
After your Sunday race, go to the official awards tent near the Finish Festival stage to pick up your Déjà Vu Award. Then enjoy your tray at your next seafood boil! And be sure to take a few photos and share your tray in action on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
DEJA WHAT? WHAT IS A CRAWFISH TRAY?
The phrase déjà vu is a French term that literally means “already seen.” The phenomenon of déjà vu is to have the sensation that an event or experience currently being experienced has been experienced in the past, when in fact it hasn’t.
For this reason, we have created the Déjà Vu Award for those runners who see the finish line two days in a row. This finisher award is given to all runners who complete the Saturday 5K at the Louisiana Marathon and finish the Marathon or The Half at the Louisiana Marathon.
The Déjà Vu Award is a seafood tray — a.k.a. a crawfish tray — common in many restaurants and home seafood boils. This one in particular is designed by The Louisiana Marathon, and is ideal for serving up great Louisiana Seafood — especially, boiled crawfish, crabs and shrimp.
