I’m originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, and have lived in Louisiana for 12 years.
When you aren’t running, what are you doing? What’s your day job?
When I’m not running I enjoy spending time with friends and family and being a tourist in my own city. I am active duty military, based in New Orleans.
What is your best time at your favorite distance?
My best time at my favorite distance is 20 Hrs 20 Min and 23 secs at the 100 Mile distance.
What is your favorite part of the Louisiana Marathon course?
My favorite part about the Louisiana Marathon course is the run around the lake.
What has been your favorite half or full marathon and why?
My favorite marathon has been the Miami Marathon, because I was able to pace my best friend through his first attempt at the distance, as well as enjoy a beautiful course with near perfect weather.
What is your bucket list race?
I have several, but if I had to choose I’d say the Berlin Marathon, and Badwater 135 on the ultra marathon side.
What is your pre-race meal of choice?
My pre-race meal of choice is avocados and smoked salmon to get those good fats ready to burn.

For people visiting Baton Rouge/Louisiana I’d recommend immersing yourself with the local population. Find the right local and you’ll get to see more than just a few tourist attractions popular eateries, you’ll actually get to see and experience what we love so much about this state.
